Steve is a child of the water and the trees. He grew up on the shores of western Lake Michigan and spent his early days swimming, hiking, and exploring the Midwest. After being briefly lured away by the mountains of Colorado, Steve returned to Wisconsin, where he currently lives.
Steve is married to the most spectacular woman in the world (and the only one patient enough to put up with his nonsense). In his free time he enjoys backpacking, kayaking, and doing his best to pass endless medical school exams.
If you’re looking to get in touch with Steve, the best way to reach him is by howling thrice towards the moon on a cold night (or by email at email@example.com)
Steve is new to the speculative fiction scene, but he’s already leaving a mark. He prefers writing gritty, emotional science fiction and fantasy (or perhaps those stories prefer him) but he isn’t afraid to venture into the humorous now and again.
He wants his stories to make you think. About who we are, who we might become, and what it will take to get us there.
Steve’s work has been published in multiple venues. Most notably, his fiction will appear in upcoming editions of Nature, Daily Science Fiction, and Flash Fiction Online. Feel free to check out a full list of Steve’s publications.
